The goal: 0% packet loss and minimal latency 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How did we accomplish it? We started with certified CAT6 structured cabling throughout our entire infrastructure, then we looked at all possible points of failure and made sure there's a redundant route available at all times, from each rack to the backbone and from the backbone out.
Our colocation room is connected directly via redundant connections to Costa Rica's Internet Backbone; redundant underwater fiber optic cables (MAYA and ARCOS) connect us with the rest of the world delivering packets to the US in 100ms average.
